Badge malfunctions often stem from workers’ profiles not meeting site access requirements. Follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve issues.Step 1: Check worker profile access requirements
Navigate to Worker Profile > Jobsites screen to review the worker’s current access status and any outstanding requirements.Step 2: Review access denial reasons
If access is being denied, check for the following common reasons:- Temporary card expired
- NYC SST card missing or expired
- OSHA card missing
- Suspension from jobsite
- Ban from jobsite or sibling jobsite
- Conditional pass date expired
- Incomplete onboarding or site-specific orientation
- Expired site-specific orientation
- Worker offboarded
- Offboarded due to 30-day inactivity
Step 3: Check swipe activity
If access requirements are complete, check the worker’s swipe activity to determine the nature of the issue:- If swipes are not registering: The physical badge is likely damaged. Issue a replacement badge.
- If swipes are registering: The problem lies elsewhere in the system and requires further investigation.
