Overview

Badge malfunctions often stem from workers’ profiles not meeting site access requirements. Follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve issues.

Step 1: Check worker profile access requirements

Navigate to Worker Profile > Jobsites screen to review the worker’s current access status and any outstanding requirements.

Step 2: Review access denial reasons

If access is being denied, check for the following common reasons:
  • Temporary card expired
  • NYC SST card missing or expired
  • OSHA card missing
  • Suspension from jobsite
  • Ban from jobsite or sibling jobsite
  • Conditional pass date expired
  • Incomplete onboarding or site-specific orientation
  • Expired site-specific orientation
  • Worker offboarded
  • Offboarded due to 30-day inactivity

Step 3: Check swipe activity

If access requirements are complete, check the worker’s swipe activity to determine the nature of the issue:
  • If swipes are not registering: The physical badge is likely damaged. Issue a replacement badge.
  • If swipes are registering: The problem lies elsewhere in the system and requires further investigation.
