Prerequisites

The option to print and assign a permanent badge appears in the assign badge modal when at least one HID Proximity Card credential type is added to the card formats in the jobsite settings.

Select a badge template

When printing and assigning a permanent badge, you may choose a badge template that determines the appearance of the badge. Badge template selection The options that appear in the dropdown can be configured in Jobsite Settings.

Add a new badge

Click + Add New Badge from the worker’s Profile > Badges tab.Add New Badge button on the Badges tab

Verify worker details

Verify or update the worker photo, trade designation, trade class, and printer selection.Verifying worker details for badge creation

Print the badge

Click Print Badge to send the badge to the selected printer. Monitor the print status to confirm the badge prints successfully. If the print fails, retry or troubleshoot the printer connection as needed.

Register the badge number

Assign the badge number, which is pre-printed on the card.Assigning a badge number

Manage active badges

Deactivate any other active badges for security purposes.

Finish

Click Finish to complete the badge creation process.Completing the badge creation process

Known limitations

Registering with a temporary card number

Do not register a Temporary Badge number as a permanent badge.
After printing a worker’s permanent badge, you must register the card number in Odin. Do not enter the card number from a Temporary Badge that has already been registered. Doing so can cause conflicts when managing the worker’s permanent badge or the associated Temporary Badge. Card number registration
